Downtown Shopping Walk (Self Guided), Warsaw

No shopping trip to Warsaw is complete without visiting the downtown district. Walk along such streets as Marszałkowska Street, Jerozolimskie Avenue and Nowy Swiat Street for their rich collections of boutiques and chain stores.

The commercial heart of the city is Marszalkowska Street, a lively and exciting place of cafés, restaurants, theaters and shops. Chmielna Street is where the well-heeled love to shop, among jewelry stores, antique shops, boutiques and galleries. On Nowy Swiat is a smattering of big names in the world of fashion, including Marc Jacobs and Jimmy Choo.

A good place for fashion for men, women and children is Galeria Centrum, which features clothing brands such as Autograf and Frodo. Within the store you can also find jewelry, cosmetics, footwear, perfume and accessories.

Another popular shopping destination in the area is Zlote Tarasy (Golden Terraces), a modern mall with approximately 200 stores. Among the familiar retail names filling this delightful shopping center are Marks & Spencer, Body Shop and Hugo Boss. The mall also features Poland’s first ever Hard Rock Café, which occupies two levels, a multiplex cinema and lots of restaurants and bars.
