Valencia 4 Day Itinerary: Traveling With Kids, Valencia, Spain
My family visits us in Spain every year during Christmas. They’re quite familiar with Sanlúcar (our home), so this year we decided to plan a mini getaway to someplace new. Last year I chose Galicia (a bad idea in winter, especially with sick kids) so this time I opted for a sunny and warm destination. Javi and I had never been to Valencia and there seemed to be a lot of attractions the kids would enjoy.
I was pleasantly surprised by how kid-friendly Valencia is…the city completely exceeded my expectations in terms of accessibility and activities. The city center is super stroller friendly and many of the sidewalks are level with the street (a godsend for double strollers). We loved the parks, numerous playgrounds, and the beautiful walkways. Of course the food was fantastic and the shopping was great. Personally, I think December is a fantastic time to visit Valencia; we didn’t have to deal with crowds of tourists and it was sunny every day!
- Children 4 and under can visit the main attractions for free—including walking tours, aquarium, zoo, etc. You will need to prove their age so bring their passport, etc. ...... (follow the instructions below for accessing the rest of this article).
