Valencia is a very beautiful city with impressive architecture. In Valencia you can experience history and modernism as you wander to different side of the city…History is undoubtedly well-preserved in the centre of Valencia (See the previous post about the Historical Part of Valencia). As you head through the port from Valencia city centre you will start seeing beautiful examples of modern architecture…There you also see The City of Arts and Sciences (La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias) which is considered as the modern face of Valencia. Very impressive building complex which definitely deserves visitors attention.

The City of Arts and Sciences is one of the most important touristic attraction in Valencia. It started being constructed in 1996 and completed in 1998 over the old river bed of Turia. Designer and architect of City of Arts and Sciences is Santiago Calatrava (See below for more information). The building complex consist of six areas.
