Hiển Lâm Các (Pavilion of the Glorious Coming), Hue
Hiển Lâm Các (Pavilion of the Glorious Coming) was built during one year since 1821-1822 during Emperor Minh Mang. The Pavilion of the Glorious Coming is a memorial to the Nguyen Dynasty. Because of its very important meaning, this building at 17 meters high was the highest construction in the entire Citadel. The pavilion has 3 floors. The front stairs are divided into 3 sections and each has 9 steps, the middle one being reserved only for the Emperor. Of great interest are the well-preserved hand rails that were engraved in shape of a dragon. The Pavilion of the Glorious Coming is one of the best preserved buildings in the Imperial City.
