1. Mill St. Brewery

Mill St. Brewery
Mill St. Brewery opened in 2002 in an original tankhouse and is located in a 19th century Victorian industrial building in the Distillery District. The BrewPub opened in 2006 and has 13 beers on tap. Locals keep coming back for the great food, the range of unique beers and its relaxed atmosphere with a laid-back modern pub feel. Mill Street Brewery has won Canadian Brewery of the year several years running and it’s not hard to see why. Sample one of Mill Street’s many brews to get a taste of why Torontonians love this bar – the Original Organic is a classic staple.

2. C'est What

C'est What
C'est What Brew/Vin Pub Restaurant is described as “Toronto’s true local flavour in craft beer and comfort food since 1988.” The bar boasts 35 craft brews on tap, whiskies from all over the world, and and also includes select Ontario wines. C’est What calls its menu “ethno-clectic” and it’s a perfect blend with its unique setting - the cellar of an historic building in the St. Lawrence Market area. This bar is also the home of an Internet radio station, whatsnext.ca, featuring independently produced recorded music and all performances from the adjoining performance room. If you’re looking for a unique bar with a definitively Toronto feel, you’ll love C’est What.

3. Irish Embassy

Irish Embassy
The Irish Embassy is a favourite with Torontonians for its relaxed atmosphere and awesome food. It is located in the heart of the Financial District in an old bank building from 1873. The Irish Embassy has won the best pub award several years running. The bar now also boasts the Dublin Lounge with mahogany-paneled walls, leather furniture and a genuine antique feel. This is also the best place in town to grab an authentic Irish breakfast on weekends and the late-night menu includes incredible dishes such as smoked salmon on soda bread, a Jameson chicken liver plate and Kilkenny battered haddock.

Located just outside the Air Canada Centre, this place is a sports fan’s dream. With 112 taps, 29 beer brands and the largest HD indoor screen in North America, your eyeballs will be begging for mercy by the time you pay the tab. But don’t just take our word for it - ESPN recently named Real Sports North America’s best sports bar. And they know what they’re doing with their drinks – this bar features an 11-page drink menu, so do your homework and prepare yourself ahead of time and you can step right up and order something as basic as a Molson Canadian ($6.25) to something as delicious as a Louis XIII premium cognac for $180.
