A Perfect Weekend Getaway in Riga, Latvia, Riga, Latvia
So, a few weeks ago I went to Riga, Latvia with few of my uni friends and we had a blast. When I say a few weeks ago, I mean before I binge watched all 5 seasons of Orphan Black which is a badass tv show, by the way.
We decided to have a trip to Riga for two days, so basically one day we come and the next one we go home. Since Latvia is our neighbour country, it only took 3.5 hours to reach Riga, the capital of Latvia.
Frankly, it wasn’t my first visit in Riga. I’ve been there when I was 9, so 10 or so years ago but I can hardly remember anything.
We decided to stay at Seagulls Garret Hostel which is in the old town and is about 7 minutes awayfrom the main bus station. So a perfect location, I’d say.
We had a pleasant stay at the hostel. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful lady. We could only check in after 2 p.m., so we had to wait a bit as we arrived around 1:40 p.m. We reserved 4 bunk beds female dormitory room for ourselves and paid 44 euros for one night (for 4 people). ......
